Who Built StatFlare
StatFlare was built by Jayesh Gavit, an indie developer and content creator based in India. The project started as a personal tool to research YouTube channels without paying for expensive analytics platforms, and grew into a full-featured product used by thousands of creators and marketers.
The stack is entirely modern: a Next.js 14 frontend hosted on Vercel, a FastAPI backend on Render, live data from the YouTube Data API v3, and AI analysis powered by Anthropic's Claude. All of it is free for users — no paid tiers, no paywalled features.
You can follow the project's progress, report bugs, or contribute on GitHub, or watch behind-the-scenes builds on YouTube.
Technology & Data Transparency
Data source: All channel and video data is fetched live from the official YouTube Data API v3. StatFlare does not scrape YouTube — it uses Google's public API with strict quota limits.
Revenue estimates: StatFlare does not have access to any channel's real AdSense earnings. All revenue figures are estimates calculated from public view counts multiplied by industry-average RPM (revenue per thousand views) benchmarks. They are clearly labeled as estimates throughout the platform.
AI analysis: Insights are generated by Anthropic's Claude using the computed channel metrics as input. They are suggestions, not guarantees.
Privacy: Guest analyses are not stored. For logged-in users, only your search handles are stored — never video data or personal earnings. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
