How StatFlare Works

Everything you need to know about analyzing YouTube channels with StatFlare.

Getting Started

What is StatFlare?

StatFlare is a free YouTube channel analytics platform powered by AI. Enter any public YouTube channel handle or URL and get a full analytics dashboard instantly — no account required.

How to analyze a channel

On the homepage, type a YouTube channel handle (e.g. @mkbhd) or paste a full YouTube channel URL into the search bar and press Enter or click "Analyze". StatFlare will fetch live data from the YouTube API and generate your dashboard in seconds.

Dashboard Sections

Displays the channel profile picture, name, handle, subscriber count, and country — pulled live from YouTube.

Stat Cards

Key metrics at a glance: total subscribers, total views, video count, channel age, and average views per video.

View Trend Chart

A line chart showing views per video for the last 20 uploads. Spot spikes, viral moments, or steady growth at a glance.

Top 5 Videos Table

A ranked table of your best-performing videos with thumbnail, title, views, likes, comments, and engagement rate.

Duration vs Views Chart

Compares video length to view count to reveal whether longer or shorter videos perform better on the channel.

AI Insights

Claude AI analyzes your channel data and returns a channel health score (0–100), strengths, weaknesses, content strategy suggestions, posting frequency advice, and 3 specific actionable next steps.

Credits & Limits

How credits work

StatFlare is 100% free. Every logged-in user starts with 5 daily credits that reset at midnight. Each channel analysis costs 1 credit.

Earning more credits

When you run out of credits, you can watch a rewarded ad to instantly earn +3 bonus credits. This cycle repeats — there is no paywall.

Guest users

Users who are not logged in get 3 free analyses per day tracked by IP address. Guest users cannot earn extra credits via ads. Sign in with Google or GitHub to unlock the full 5 daily credits.

Channel Comparison

Compare two channels

StatFlare supports side-by-side comparison of any two public YouTube channels. Navigate to the Compare page and enter both channel handles. You get a full breakdown of subscribers, views, engagement, and AI insights for both channels simultaneously.

Search History

Saving analyses

When you are signed in, every analysis you run is automatically saved to your history. Visit the History page to revisit past channel analyses without spending another credit.

FAQ

Is StatFlare really free?

Which channels can I analyze?

Any public YouTube channel. Private or terminated channels cannot be fetched via the YouTube Data API.

How fresh is the data?

Is my data stored?
