How does the trending calculation work?

Growth = (last-week × 4 − last-month) / last-month × 100. A positive result means the weekly rate exceeds the monthly average. All inputs are real pypistats.org data.

How fresh and accurate are the download numbers?

pypistats.org sources its numbers from Google's public PyPI download dataset, which is refreshed roughly once a day — so figures typically lag by a day or so rather than being instantaneous like some other package registries. StatFlare doesn't smooth, estimate, or backfill that gap; it shows exactly what pypistats.org reports, with mirror/CI-sync traffic excluded (mirrors=false) so counts reflect genuine pip installs.
