What this tool can and cannot measure
Spotify removed follower counts and popularity scores from its API in February 2026, and killed the artist top-tracks and related-artists endpoints at the same time. Monthly listeners were never exposed through the API at all. Any tool still showing you those numbers is either using stale cached data or estimating them.
What survives is the release catalogue, and it is genuinely rich. Every release carries a type, a date, a track count and its credited artists. From those four fields you can measure a career: output over time, cadence, droughts, format mix, seasonality and collaboration rate. Every figure this tool reports is a count or an average over real records — nothing is modelled, estimated or scored.
- Releases per year
- How many albums, singles and compilations they put out each year, with silent years shown as zero so droughts are visible.
- Format mix
- The split between albums, singles and compilations — the clearest signal of how an artist actually works.
- Longest gap
- The widest stretch between two consecutive releases, measured from real release dates.
- Seasonality
- Which months they release in. Only dates with real month precision are counted, so a year-only date never invents a January pattern.
- Collaboration rate
- The share of releases credited to more than one artist.
- Career span
- First release to latest, and how long it has been since the last one.
